Replacements & exchanges - Target
We offer exchanges in store on most items based on the return policy window. If an exchange can't be completed, a return and purchase of a new item may be offered within the return policy and return window. We'll do our best to honor your promotional or sale price but there may be differences based on tender used, coupons and offers applied.

Start a return online: On Target.com and in the Target app you can begin to process your return or replacement, or find the return barcode for in-store returns. Access your Target account. From the toggle at the top of the page, select Online to view your orders. Locate your item under Orders on Target.com or under Purchases in the Target app.

We can also attempt to look up the receipt for store and online purchases in store. Bring the item and the method of payment used to Guest Services within the return window allowed for that item (visit Target Return Policy). The store can look up receipts for purchases made with the following payment methods:
